FAIRBRIDGE FESTIVAL - an annual family-friendly celebration of folk, roots, blues, acoustic, celtic, a capella and world music in a traffic-free, self-contained bushland site at Fairbridge Village, South West Highway, 5 km north of Pinjarra, Western Australia.

This year, 2013, will be the 21st FolkWorld Fairbridge Festival. The festival’s coming-of-age started with the name-change of the incorporated body in 2011. Moving from Fairbridge Festival Inc. to FolkWorld Inc. opens the door to a new level of development for the organisation. The festival will take on its new name slowly – starting with the current FolkWorld Fairbridge Festival, which will transition to FolkWorld Festival. Different name, same fantastic festival.

We are a fusion; music, media and art band that have donated our talents and time to promoting charity work,and through a combined effort of many volunteers,have produced an album that we sell by donation and give to charity. We have taken a Vow of Poverty on our music and donate all the money raised from the sale of our CDs to funding education to poor/orphaned children.We have several projects currently running, including the sponsoring of 29 children into school in the poor remote village of Karnangasem in Bali, Indonesia,the development of Bio-Latrines in Asia,a school in the Southwest of China in ZhaoJue (one of the 500 poorest areas on earth) where we now have 20 registered orphans and we are now planning to repeat the tour into Remote Indigenous Communities for a second year running.This time we hope to take more music, more workshops, more indigenous artists to a bigger audience on many more remote communities to more kids. VOW Music Workshops Tour is to inspire indigenous children to develop their talents through indigenous role models,using music as a medium to develop career opportunities, a cathartic avenue or an outlet for expression.
